Department Objectives

The department of Pathology looks forward to achieving the major scientific objectives that help in the learning outcome. These can be summarized as:

1. Academic objectives

   This objective can be applied theoretically through:

• Identification of the disease pathogenesis

• Describing the morphology of the diseased tissues

• Relating the disease causation with clinical presentation

1. Scientific Practical objectives

This objective can be applied through practical teaching using imaging and microscopic slides. The students should also know how to deal with biopsied specimens, and evenly reading the Pathology reports.

1. Research objectives

The department encourages the medical students and interns to participate in Pathology research.
